Element Compass

Privacy Policy

Draft of 13 September 2026

This is a draft prepared ahead of launch. It describes how Element Compass is intended to work and will be reviewed before it takes effect.

A birth chart starts from personal information — the date, time and place you were born. This policy says what Element Compass collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Birth details: the date, time and place of birth you enter to draw a chart. Without an account these are used to draw the chart and are not linked to you.

Account details: your email address and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself). When you create an account we also record the IP address the registration came from, to prevent abuse, and your language preference.

Technical data: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and the standard server logs any website keeps.

How we use it

To draw and show your chart, to keep saved charts under your account, to keep you signed in, and to protect the site from automated abuse. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else is involved

Human verification on the account form is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes connection data to tell people from bots under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. Our servers and database are hosted with providers who process data on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Saved charts and account details are kept for as long as your account exists. Charts drawn without an account are kept under an anonymous link so that the page can be reopened; they are not linked to any person.

Your choices

You can use Element Compass without an account. You can ask us to show, correct or delete the data held under your account at any time by contacting us; deleting the account removes your saved charts.
